Footprints of our Past

Footprints or our Past –  I chose this phrase because, to me, it is so relevant. For our ancestors, that is all they left behind. Just these small traces of them. Maybe a picture, or if we are lucky, a few. Maybe just a document or two. These things speak to me, they say I was here, I existed. They left behind these things like a footprint, in some sense.  Without these people, we would not be here, they played such a large role in our lives. Yet most people do not even realize it. Most people do not even know more than the names of their Great Grandparents, in some cases they only know their Grandparents. I do this to remember the forgotten. To give them the credit they deserve and honor them for their importance in our lives. For their posterity. To be sure they are never forgotten again.
