The Beloved Faces of our Past.
This page will serve as a gateway to the story of each of these lost loved ones.
I am integrating qr code onto the frames to link to their page with their own page dedicated to their lives.
I have been working on this project for some time and I still need to get frames for and hang many, many more pictures.
I can say that is a very beautiful experience to look up and see all these wonderful faces of people who played such a great role in the creation of who we are.
In the center is a quote by Alexander Dumas from The Count of Monte Cristo, one of my favorite books ” Those we have lost do not repose under the ground, they are buried deep in our hearts. It has thus been ordained that they may always accompany us.”
When I discovered this quote it really took me by surprise because of the deep feeling that I shared. I have always, since childhood, felt connected with my ancestors. I find comfort and solace in them and their lives.
Each death that I experienced in my life has hit me deep and hard. My grief never truly ends, merely changes form over time. It has been a great help to have them right in view again.
