New Mexican women are different than average women, they are a strong bunch. In their case, their strength was bred by necessity and hard times. In the past New Mexicans faced much adversity. They struggled to have enough in a strange place. In order to for them to take care of their families, which is the inner drive of most women, they had to be strong and help more than what is considered to be ‘lady like’. New Mexico bred women who are, as they say, ‘as tough as nails’.
